Eckhart Tolle was born in 1948 in Dortmund, Germany where he spent the first 16 years of his life. After completion of his studies in Literature at the University of London, he was engaged in research and supervision at Cambridge University in England. At the age of twenty-nine he went through a spiritual transformation; a shift of consciousness which changed his life completely. During the following years he dedicated his life to integrating the understanding and deepening of this shift of consciousness which began an intensive inward journey.
Since 1995, Eckhart Tolle lives in Vancouver, Canada where he has worked as a spiritual teacher and counsellor for many years, not being aligned to any particular religion or tradition. The simple but profound message of his teachings is transmitted with humility and the clarity of all true spiritual masters. He writes “You are here to enable the divine purpose of the universe to unfold. That is how important you are”.
Since the publication of his first English book in 1997, Eckhart Tolle has become known world wide as a renowned spiritual teacher of our time. His books have been translated in 33 languages with bestseller status.
